Our Story
Built by a Worker. For the Workers.
I spent over 29 years in the traffic control industry. I started at the bottom—standing on the road in every kind of weather as a Traffic Control Person—and worked my way through every level. Crew member. Supervisor. Capital projects. Division manager. Company manager. Instructor. Mentor. I've lived every part of this industry, and I've stood beside the people who keep our world moving.
After nearly three decades on the front lines, I noticed something that never sat right with
me: the people behind the cones, the signs, the heavy equipment, the emergency vehicles,
the tow trucks, and the construction sites—they rarely get recognized. They build our
communities, keep us safe, and sacrifice more than most people will ever know. But they
never had a brand that was truly theirs.
So I built one.
What Steel Toe Society Stands For
Steel Toe Society exists to celebrate the workers who keep the world moving. The ones who get up before the sun. The ones who miss holidays. The ones whose bodies ache but who show up anyway because the work matters and they know it. Whether you're in traffic control, construction, emergency services, trucking, towing, utilities, paving, crane operation, or any of the skilled trades—this brand is for you.
Respect the Grind isn't just a slogan. It's a recognition of every early morning, every night
shift, every sore muscle, every sacrifice, and every person who does the hard work that
keeps everyone else safe. It's pride in honest work. It's seeing the people who don't always
get the spotlight.
More Than Apparel
Steel Toe Society is more than clothing. It's a community. It's a place where every trade and every worker belongs. When you wear Steel Toe Society, you're wearing a reminder that hard work matters, skilled trades matter, and the people behind the work deserve to be seen.
This isn't just a brand.
It's a badge of respect.
